This week we talk with Iain from The Office of Minor Details (which has to be one of the best business names I've ever heard). Iain's products are all beautifully designed, hand-stitched and handmade. Each piece is simple, functional and will last a lifetime.

Tell us about your brand – what is it about and how did it begin?
During a walk on the beach about 15 years ago I realised that as long as we have food, water and shelter the major details of life are taken care of.
The Office of Minor Details was established to take care of the little things which make ‘a space’ ‘our space’, a personal space. The little things that we take for granted, but can bring us joy over and over again through daily interaction with their timeless beauty and functionality. The Office of Minor Details exists because the little things matter.
Is your brand your full-time job or a side hustle?
It started as a side hustle but has grown to become an umbrella encompassing a creative life involved in many projects ranging from design and architecture to art and making.
What is a typical day for you?
Wake / Catch up on things I am following / Eat / Cycle or Swim / Creative thinking - Research / Eat / Make / Eat / Relax / Sleep / Repeat.
Which part of your brand do you enjoy working on the most?
My favourite place is in the studio with a tool in my hand creating something; if I could I would spend all my time there.
Can you tell us what you have in mind for The Office of Minor Details in the next 12 months?
Currently I am working on a new project which is still under wraps, which means for the meantime The Office of Minor Details will keep doing what it does best, making little treasures for it's loyal customers.
