Who are you?
My name is Mariska Malmros, I am profoundly deaf and I am 41 years old. I am happily married with 3 daughters.

Where are you based?
We live in Hervey Bay, a beautiful coastal town in Queensland

How did your brand come about?
When I was pregnant with my first daughter almost 15 years ago, I was searching online (we had just got the internet - it was heaven for me!) for chemical free skincare and cosmetics. I was interested in making cosmetics & skincare products, but then the children came, and I was just too busy.

Then I met a lovely lady, Gai, who had started Rhasdala Beauty in 2009. She was moving on to something different and sold Rhasdala to me in 2017. I was so happy with the opportunity and I learned from Gai how to formulate the products. It was such a great experience, I had so much fun with it. Understanding the ingredients and knowing what we are putting on our skin is a great freedom for me, and it is great for our skin too.

Your products
Since taking Rhasdala over I have formulated new products. I wasn’t aware that it is extremely hard to find palm oil free cosmetics and skincare products, so it has become my mission to eliminate palm oil from my products.
