Here we are with the last in our "Hello Seasons" series - our "Hello Spring" postcard!
What started back in summer with an idea to list the things I like about a season I don't like at all has turned into a fun way to find the simple joys each season brings.
And so with Spring the last in our series, here are some things I love about this season.
New Lists: Spring is full of possibilities and the promise of new adventures, so whether it’s a to-do list, a book list, a list of things you'd love to do, this is the perfect time to get organised and inspired.
Spring Air: There is something about the air in spring, especially the beginning of spring. It feels different, full of life, possibilities, energy. It makes you want to open every window in the house and let the outside in.
Asparagus: OK, I admit, this is a bit of a strange one. I do love asparagus and it brings back memories of being in Germany having a delicious meal of pork and white asparagus.
Iced Lattes: I have a confession to make.... this year I didn't stop drinking iced lattes! I think I had maybe 5 cups of hot coffee at home over the winter. But I love them so much that they had to be on the list.
Bees & Butterflies: How can you not smile when you see a butterfly? When you see the bees and butterflies busy in the garden you know that spring is back.
Being Outside: After the coziness of winter, spring just begs you to head outside and soak up the sunshine. Whether it’s going for a walk, having a picnic, or just sitting outside in a comfy chair, being outside in spring feels like the place you are meant to be.
Feeling Motivated Again: It's that spring air - it makes me feel renewed and ready to take on anything.
Stargazing: With the nights growing warmer, spring is the perfect time to lie back and gaze at the stars. So often we don't take the time to stop and look up - this spring why don't you make it a priority?
Longer Days: It gets dark so early in winter, the longer days of spring are so lovely.
Good Books: There is nothing like getting lost in a good book, and this is something I love year round. But spring... in spring you can laze about outside with that book and enjoy the fresh air.
Daffodils & Jacarandas: Nothing says spring is here like these colourful, happy flowers.
So whether you’re having an iced latte, making new lists, or just enjoying the warmth of the sun, I hope spring brings you all the happiness and inspiration it brings me. How about you? What do you love about spring? Let me know in the comments!
