Beaches and Outdoors

Kayaking

Take a tour or set off by yourself, there is a lot to explore and kayaking is a great way to do it. Noosa River, the Everglades, beaches, you are spoiled for choice!

Noosa Botanic Gardens

Lake MacDonald Dr, Lake MacDonald

Pack a picnic and have a wander through the gardens and along the lake. Take along some frozen peas or some rice (cooked or uncooked) to feed the ducks and turtles (don't feed them bread!), and the kids can try the dinosaur dig.

Noosa Botanic Gardens

Noosa Everglades

One of only 2 everglades in the world! There are a range of different experiences available - start with Everglades Eco Safaris

Noosa Everglades

Noosa Main Beach

Yep, it gets super busy here, but it's a lovely beach with cafes right behind you. And when you go to the beach you have to get icecream - try Happy Pops for something a little different!

Noosa Main Beach

Noosa National Park

Beautiful views, with lovely beaches to stop at along the way to cool down and to take in the wonder of it all. Check out Granite Bay and Tea Tree Bay (please note that these are unpatrolled beaches).

Noosa National Park

Noosa River

Walk along it, hire a boat and explore on the water, or give stand up paddle boarding a try! There are a number of hire companies along the river - Jetty 17, Kayak Noosa, O Boat Hire, Pelican Boat Hire and SUP Noosa are just a few.

 Noosa River

Noosa Spit

Off-leash dog beach, walk through Noosa woods, beautiful sunsets, great for kids at low tide.

Noosa Spit

Peregian Beach

Another of Noosa's beautiful beaches with cafes and shops right across the road and a playground and skate park just behind the beach. The surf can be quite rough, so stay between the flags. Great beach for walking as it stretches for miles.

Please check individual websites for any holiday closures and up-to-date opening hours.

Please note that we are not in any way affiliated with any of these businesses - we have tried most of them and enjoyed what they have to offer and hope that you will too. Some we have not tried, but we have included them as they are on our list of things to do and try in Noosa.
