This time last year, we did something a little out of the ordinary. Something that felt a bit magical, a bit surreal—and something that ended up being one of the most memorable experiences we’ve shared as a family.
We booked an photoshoot with underwater photographer Liz Harlin, and even now, a year later, it still feels like yesterday.
From the moment we stepped into her studio, we knew we were in good hands. Liz walked us through the process and made us feel completely at ease. We felt pampered and spoiled—and her wardrobe? Just beautiful- she had everything in there you could ever want! Liz turned the morning into something so much more than a shoot. It was an experience, full of special moments that became part of our family’s story.
I first met Liz back in 2019, and ever since, a photoshoot with her has been at the top of my list. So when the opportunity came up, we jumped at it. We were also lucky enough to feature Liz in our Inspiring Women interviews—not once, but twice. If you haven’t read them yet, go take a peek—they’re well worth your time:

And the photos? They were so much more than just beautiful images. In the few seconds Liz had to capture us underwater, she managed to get the real us. The laughter, the smiles, the absolute fun of it all.

The Photos That Keep Giving
Those images are now on the walls of our home, memories of that special day. They don’t just remind us of how we looked—they remind us of how we felt. Connected and present.
They’ve become part of our story—a reminder of the time we said yes to something different. Something I’d wanted to do for so long, even though it was completely out of my comfort zone. And we’re so glad we did.
Thinking About Doing It?
Go for it!
Even if you’re camera-shy or not confident in the water we can’t recommend the experience enough. Liz has a way of making you feel seen—and the result? Photos that are truly beautiful. They’re an experience you’ll relive every time you look at them.
